We have recently submitted three of our latest student accommodation projects into the 2016 IDEA Awards. “The Steps” at Central Park in Sydney aims to encapsulate the idea of student life and set a design quality benchmark for student accommodation with inclusive vibrant interiors to facilitate contemporary student living and interaction. It encourages a sense of community and togetherness of people from different universities and cultural backgrounds.

The challenge of the Queen Mary Building, a project for the University of Sydney, was to save a significant heritage building and transform it into a sustainable living and learning community for 800 students. The Queen Mary Building forms part of the University of Sydney’s masterplan to provide accommodation for 4,000 students over the coming years.

The overall design of Unilodge at Victoria University was influenced by a “DNA” theme to create an environment that fosters movement, interaction and self-expression. The Victoria University campus in Footscray has an academic focus on sport and health sciences and in the engineering fields.  We wanted to support this by creating student housing that expresses the scientific nature of the university in a fun, lively and playful way.

Stay tuned to see how we go!
