Bucher

1 / 5

Built by FDC Construction for Bucher Municipal, this purpose-built facility at Sydney Business Park, Marsden Park integrates seamlessly into the industrial surrounds.

This efficient 6,250m² warehouse, complete with warehouse amenities and mezzanine training room, successfully consolidates the maintenance and repair facility. With an additional 700m² ground floor office space, the new facility is connected in the north west of Sydney.

The warehouse structure makes a statement with its bold industrial design punctuated by segments of metal cladding across the warehouse façade. This feature cladding is complemented by subtle variation in colour. Contrasting forms and textures help to further break up the generous scale of the building, adding interest and street appeal to the key facade facing Astoria Street.

As part of the Sydney Business Park brief, the project utilises a mixture of materiality to break up the façade. Reclaimed brick, longline metal sheeting, varying glazing heights and trapezium solid aluminium cladding with feature blades, were integrated to deliver a high-level contemporary finish to the office structure, helping it to stand out from the crowd in the industrial sector. Landscaping is reintroduced to commonly used spaces at the main entry and recreation area as points of interest.
