First Sentier Investors

nettletontribe were privileged to be engaged by Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) to design and deliver First Sentier Investors’ (FSI) workspace for their office relocation to Barangaroo’s International Tower Three.

Working with this global company’s core values of transparency, consistency and empathy and their workplace goals of 6 Star Green Star and WELL’s Gold Rating, gave nettletontribe interiors an excellent foundation to build the concept. The corner stones of the design were to utilise nature, while playing with light and the ideas of layering, to create a beautiful, simple journey within the workspace.

We celebrated the Japanese way of “wabi sabi” within the materials palette using authentic materials. A warm balance was created with the use of light timbers, tan leather, handmade ceramics and accents of deep bold green.

For First Sentier Investors, sustainability is an all-inclusive target which extends beyond the construction period and into the ongoing usage of the workplace. From the outset, design choices were guided by prioritising Australian designed and made elements, low VOC products, and items partially or entirely constructed from recycled materials. As of 2020, the FSI workplace has achieved its goal in receiving certification as 6 Star Green Star Interiors.
