Meadowbrook Specialist Care Centre

The Meadowbrook Specialist Care Centre has been designed to provide a vibrant and contemporary health service, complementing and supporting the services provided within the Logan Hospital. It is the first purpose built, Public Private tenanted health facility in Queensland with hospital class facilities to service the needs of the growing population of Southern Brisbane and Logan Regions.

The ground plane is designed to maximise on-grade health care space and ensure that vehicle and pedestrian arrival and drop-off is direct and highly legible for patients.

A central lift core directly connects the ground floor lobby with the carparking and medical suites above. The main medical floorplate offers over 2,500m2 of GFA, and has a central core that provides flexibility, efficiency and maximum access to views and natural light.

The Metro South Health Service will bring a minor injuries and illness centre here to assist in elevating flows in the nearby ED.

The building will also provide outpatient services for Women, Paediatric clinic, medical imaging, and pharmacy. The building façade is a contemporary architectural response with articulated sun shading devices providing visual interest, articulation and solar control. The dynamic entry roof form provides a strong visual marker for the building’s arrival sequence.
