Nestled in the heart of Kellyville West, Woolworths Kellyville Grove has been designed as a retail experience tailored to meet the needs of the community. The development’s focal point is a spacious Woolworths supermarket, complemented by an impressive array of 3,731sqm specialty retail tenancies, including expansive facilities such as 990sqm of medical services and 800sqm of gym spaces. Positioned to maximise the benefits of the Memorial Avenue upgrade and widening, the project involved a strategic land swap with the Council.

Amidst the design process, several obstacles were encountered and successfully overcome, with the primary challenge involving the development of an efficient plan to maximise the use of the triangular-shaped site, which also featured a significant north to south slope. The solution took the form of a two-level retail and commercial development, cleverly incorporating partial roof-top car parking to make effective use of the unique topography of the landscape.

Another challenge included the essential task of establishing seamless visual and circulation connections between the ground and upper levels. This not only improved overall accessibility within the development but also fostered a sense of cohesion within the space. Additionally, the design team consciously ensured the project’s integration with the surrounding areas, envisioning an enhanced customer experience utilising the completed Memorial Avenue upgrade.
