Meadowbrook Specialist Health Centre
The Meadowbrook Specialist Care Centre has been designed to provide a vibrant and contemporary health service, complementing and supporting the services provided within the Logan Hospital.
The Metro South Health Service will bring a minor injury and illness centre here to assist in elevating flows in the nearby ED. The building will also provide outpatient services for Women, a Paediatrics clinic, medical imaging, and pharmacy.
The ground plane is designed to maximise on-grade health care space and ensure that vehicle and pedestrian arrival and drop-off is direct and highly legible for patients.
A central lift core directly connects the ground floor lobby with the car parking and medical suites above. The dynamic entry roof form provides a strong visual marker for the building’s arrival sequence.
The main medical floorplate offers over 2,500m2 of GFA, and has a central core that provides flexibility, efficiency, and maximum access to views and natural light.
The building façade is a contemporary architectural response with articulated sun shading devices providing visual interest, articulation and solar control.
