50 Quay Street

50 Quay Street is an impressive architectural feat, presented as two towers that offer a total of 475 apartments overlooking the stunning Brisbane River, as well as the city and mountains beyond.

Envisioned with the landscape design narrative of "from river to mountains" in mind

The innovative design responds to its steep and challenging topography by establishing a lush sub-tropical ground plane that spans over ten metres. The façade expression reinforces this narrative, featuring protruding balconies inspired by the structure of forest lookouts. The contemporary glazed facade has been designed to reflect and imitate the vibrant sunset colour palette of Brisbane, creating a harmonious dialogue between the building and its surroundings. The architects have truly succeeded in creating a unique and sustainable living environment that celebrates the natural beauty of the Brisbane region.

The Build-to-Rent proposal for 50 Quay Street focuses on maximising the overall quality of life for residents, incorporating an extensive 1,500m2 common areas throughout the lower levels of the development, connecting Quay Street and Coronation Drive.

Creating a vibrant and inclusive community A rooftop recreation area will be provided, offering residents a space for leisure activities. 50 Quay Street prioritises the health and well-being of its residents by providing a comprehensive range of amenities, including coworking spaces, a games room, a fully equipped gym, and versatile function rooms. All common spaces have been strategically located to ensure unobstructed views of the magnificent Brisbane River, enhancing the liveability of the project. With over 3m2 of common area per unit, residents will have ample opportunities to socialise and enjoy their surroundings. To create a vibrant and inclusive community, great care has been taken in the typical floor plan design of the development. The layout has been carefully crafted to provide a diverse mix of residential units, minimising the segregation of different user groups throughout the tower. With a focus on maximising natural light and panoramic views, more than 90% of the units either face the river or feature north-facing views. The floor plan is organised into two wings of units, which are positioned around a centrally located lift lobby.

Ensuring ample natural light and ventilation in the lobby and corridors that encourages community among residents
