Cameron Park Plaza
Cameron Park Plaza is a neighbourhood shopping centre anchored by a high performing Woolworths supermarket which is strategically located in Newcastle’s booming Western Growth Corridor, 17km from Newcastle CBD.
nettletontribe was engaged by Woolworths Group’s development business Fabcot to design and construct the project that was completed in late 2020.
The 7,037 sqm Neighbourhood Shopping Centre is anchored by a 3,857 sqm full line Woolworths supermarket and BWS liquor store, supported by 3 mini majors and 17 specialty tenants.
The project also included a subdivision which provided further opportunities to the site such as a McDonald’s and KFC restaurant, a future EG Fuel Service Centre, Childcare, Tavern and Council Library.
A unique element of the proposal has been the adaptive re-use of the West Wallsend Steam Tram Line, an item of local heritage that bisected the site, into a cycle way that links into Lake Macquarie’s broader cycling network.
