nettletontribe Sydney
Occupying 2 levels of a classic 1970’s office building in the high street of bustling Crows Nest village, nettletontribe’s Sydney studio fitout incorporates a subtle blend of corporate office and residential home design.
Supported by extensive staff surveys, the new studio’s design provides an environment which introduces an element of home into the workplaces, and reflects the more collaborative and flexible approach of our daily design processes.
Modifying the existing layout, “public” spaces are relocated to the front of house, whilst open plan workspaces are placed at each end of the building. Fundamental to the design are the collaborative and breakout spaces which are located to the centre of each floor, linking the workspaces, and providing integrated design/creative/social hubs.
A large “black box” containing amenities, services and utility rooms is inserted to one side of the hub space and forms a display/pinup wall for design workshops and presentations. A lightwell featuring a 2-storey street art graphic wall provides the backdrop to the other side of the creative hubs. The material selection and lighting design are carefully considered to create a variety of spaces with different moods and functions, yet with a strong unifying design aesthetic.
