Woodlawn Advanced Energy Recovery Centre

This new facility is poised to generate hundreds of employment opportunities, stimulate economic advancement, and bolster Australia's transition toward a circular economy.

Revolutionising waste management

Drawing inspiration from the surrounding natural environment, the architectural design of the Woodlawn Advanced Energy Recovery Centre (ARC) aims to complement the local landscape while incorporating functional elements that highlight eco-friendly practices. This thoughtful design approach ensures the facility not only fulfills its practical purpose but also enhances the site’s aesthetic and ecological value.

The ARC is set to become a pioneering project in Australia, supported by Veolia. This innovative development involves the creation of an Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) aimed at harnessing energy from waste materials that would otherwise be destined for landfill, marking a significant step forward in sustainable waste management.

The facility will be an integral component of a suite of cutting-edge waste management operations located at the Woodlawn site. These include a Bioreactor, a Mechanical Biological Treatment facility, and a solar array, all designed to work in harmony with one another, promoting an environmentally sustainable approach to waste processing.

The goal is to seamlessly integrate eco-friendly practices into our design, enhancing both the aesthetic and ecological value of the site.

The Woodlawn Andvanced Energy Recovery Centre, supported by Veolia, is set to redefine sustainable waste management in Australia.
