Woolworths North Parramatta
Located at the key intersection of Windsor Road and North Rocks Road, Woolworths North Parramatta is an innovative development, transforming a once vacant Bunnings warehouse into a bustling retail centre
The design combines a timeless interior aesthetic with a vibrant outdoor dining area. Designed to accommodate various food tenancies, the outdoor space ingeniously reflects the river’s meandering flow through innovative flooring patterns that mimic the gentle movement of water. This design approach not only visually connects the space to its natural surroundings but also introduces dynamic movement into the architecture.
The project sets a standard for sustainable development, targeting a 4-Star Green Star rating and championing adaptive reuse. It features solar panels, the preservation of the heritage façade, a new public river walkway, and a first of its kind wheelchair-accessible checkout system, showcasing its commitment to environmental and inclusive design. By reusing the existing building, it cuts down on new material use and construction waste, effectively reducing its environmental impact. This initiative goes beyond transforming a building into a shopping centre; it reflects a deep dedication to sustainability, innovation, and the thoughtful creation of necessary, eco-friendly infrastructure.
“By repurposing the existing site, we were able to quickly deliver this centre to the community, aligning with our commitment to sustainability,” notes Andrew Loveday from Woolworths.
Offering an extensive Woolworths supermarket, a convenient BWS, a unique drive-through Direct to Boot service, exclusive specialty shops, and a World gym, this centre redefines shopping convenience.
