Make a House a Home at Haven House Woolloongabba
Practical help into meaningful impact.
For this working bee, nettletontribe worked on Unit One’s lounge and dining area, as well as the common area, helping to furnish, arrange and style spaces that will be used every day. From assembling furniture and placing key pieces to adding finishing touches, the day was a hands-on team effort focused on making each space feel more like home.
Ahead of the working bee, Anne, nettletontribe’s Director of Interiors, worked with Kave Home to select furniture and materials that would bring warmth, durability and practicality to the spaces. Every piece was chosen with intention — considering everyday use, longevity, comfort and how each item would complement the generous contributions from other donors.
The transformation was made possible by many contributions coming together, each one helping create a more settled and supportive environment for future residents.

For people experiencing housing insecurity, the quality of a living environment matters. Safe accommodation is essential, but spaces that feel warm, functional and welcoming can also support a sense of stability, comfort and belonging. We’re proud to have contributed to this initiative and grateful to PIF, Haven House Woolloongabba, Kave Home, Harvey Norman, BIG W, Target, Kmart and the many volunteers and donors who helped bring the project together.
