457 Adelaide Street: slender tower, generous living.
A slender river front site
This unusually slender riverfront site called for an approach that reconsiders the conventions, one that recognises its exceptional location and the lifestyle opportunities created by proximity to the city, the river and active transport networks.
The result of this new residential proposition is a collection of 20 residences, the majority designed as interlocking 1.5 storey homes that stack strategically within the slender tower, ensuring every residence enjoys the Brisbane River views from their living area and allowing it to become an integral part of everyday life.

Inspired by natural rock formations
Inspired by the enduring qualities of natural rock formations and integrated greenery, 457 Adelaide Street’s facade introduces depth, texture and shadow, grounding the building within its context while contributing a richly textured silhouette to Brisbane’s skyline.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform the constraints of a challenging urban site into opportunities for a new way of living, where architecture, landscape, place and lifestyle are intrinsically connected.
