Winners of the Master Builder Awards NSW 2019

In architecture, a collaborative approach with builders is essential to bring our designs to fruition, and so it was great to see three of our projects recognised in the 2019 Master Builders Association New South Wales Excellence in Construction Awards.

The Regiment, Darlington

Richard Crookes Constructions - Student Accommodation up to $100,000,000

The gateway project for the University of Sydney brings dynamic design, vibrant cultural narrative and community-minded interiors to affordable student living and learning in the centre of Sydney. Structured by the connections to the local area, the ground floor is the heart of the community of the Regiment Building. As a shared student and public space, it is the centre for creating, learning, eating, sharing and teaching.

North Point Tower

FDC Construction & Fitout - Hospitality Buildings - Refurbishment $50,000,001 and over

Northpoint Tower is a significant redevelopment project of one of the tallest commercial towers in North Sydney, with the design challenge to revitalise a site originally built in 1977 and adapt for the modern worker. Located in the heart of the business district, the existing A grade tower stands in prime position at the corner of the Pacific Highway and Miller Street with panoramic views over Sydney Harbour and easy public transport links.

Fire and Rescue NSW Training Academy

Hansen Yuncken - Commercial Buildings up to $50,000,000

The Fire Rescue NSW Training Academy located in Orchard Hills comprise state of the art facilities appropriate to future directions in training and tuition, with a capacity to accommodate 100 students. Pivotal to the design was achieving maximised transparency and access to daylight through careful space planning, and a focus on creating a fitout that actively supports health, knowledge and awareness.
