IWD 2024 – #Inspire Inclusion
Internally, we strive to create an inclusive environment not just on IWD, but every day. We foster an open-door policy and ensure that our work environment is a space where all employees feel a sense of belonging and experience high engagement. We celebrate the diversity of our staff and have implemented policies and wellbeing initiatives to support our employees. We welcome feedback to improve and create an environment that facilitates learning and growth. Lastly, we anticipate what lies ahead on our journey.
This year, nettletontribe has chosen to support and promote the work of Too Good Co, an organisation that empowers and employs women with experiences of homelessness, domestic violence, and complex trauma. nettletontribe matched donations on a dollar-for-dollar basis to support the cause. nettletontribe also organised enjoyable office morning tea sessions in our Brisbane and Sydney studios, creating an opportunity to inform and engage everyone about the remarkable initiatives carried out by Two Good Co. These sessions aimed to inspire collective action and raise awareness about the important work being done by the organisation.
Furthermore, several members of our team based in Sydney had the opportunity to attend the IWD event arranged by the Property Council of Australia, the event featured Sarah Walsh as a guest speaker. Additionally, a few team members in Brisbane actively participated in an Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) breakfast event organised by the Queensland chapter. The key focus of these events was to celebrate women in architecture and drive gender equality. The valuable insights gathered at these events have been extensively shared across all our studios to continue inspiring and strengthening inclusivity at nettletontribe.
